For Duncan Brown, real estate isn’t just a career — it’s a lifetime vocation. He entered the industry at 18 after leaving home in the UK, needing a job and quickly discovering a profession that would define his life. Since 1985, and since 1996 in Vancouver, Duncan has built a career rooted in experience, adaptability, and an enduring commitment to his craft.

Duncan works exclusively within the City of Vancouver — by choice. Over the course of his career, he has sold more than 1,200 homes in the city and fewer than a dozen outside of it. He believes deeply in knowing one market exceptionally well, rather than many markets loosely. A significant portion of his business centres on condominiums in Vancouver’s core neighbourhoods, including the West End, Downtown, Yaletown, Kitsilano, Fairview, and Mount Pleasant. This concentrated focus allows him to bring unmatched perspective, accuracy, and insight to his clients.

With nearly four decades in real estate, Duncan brings the perspective that only time can offer — while remaining fully engaged with new ideas, innovations, and evolving market dynamics. Earlier in his career, he was the #1 agent in Vancouver for a national brand, but over time he began to feel disconnected from the local community. That realization ultimately led him to seek a more collaborative, values-driven environment. Colleagues and clients describe him as ethical, professional, collaborative, and easy to work with. He’s also been told he served as a role model to many agents early in their careers — several of whom are now leaders at the top of their game.

Beyond The Deal

Duncan is most proud of his family — especially his three daughters, 27-year-old triplets, who remain the accomplishment he values above all else. He keeps much of his personal life private, shared closely with family and trusted friends. In recent years, he’s also taken up acting classes for film and television — initially just for fun, though he admits there may be more to come. Born in Vancouver, Duncan left the city at age three and returned at 28, always knowing it was home. That deep connection to the West Coast — and to Vancouver specifically — has shaped both his life and his career
