Jacquie McCarnan: Compassion, Advocacy, and Guiding Clients Through Change

“It was important for me to join a Canadian company that cared about the world and had a strong support system. Stilhavn met all of the criteria.” — Jacquie McCarnan

A Career Built Around Flexibility and People

For Jacquie McCarnan, real estate became the right fit at the right time. Entering the industry at 50, she was looking for greater flexibility to support her two daughters and their high-level sporting commitments. At the same time, a career in sales had always felt familiar — her father spent 60 years working in commission sales, making the transition into real estate feel almost inevitable. Now 10 years into her career, Jacquie has built a business rooted in compassion, advocacy, and helping people navigate major life transitions.

Helping Clients Through Complex Moments

What Jacquie loves most about being a REALTOR® is digging in with her clients to solve problems and help them move forward. Much of her business involves supporting people through periods of transition. Whether that’s divorce, downsizing, first-time homeownership, or probate.

As her children jokingly point out, Jacquie often seems to attract the more challenging situations, complicated living situations, difficult estates, or complex family dynamics — but over time, that has naturally become part of her niche. For Jacquie, those moments are where empathy, communication, and guidance matter most.

Rooted in Community

Jacquie currently focuses her business across the North Shore, downtown Vancouver, East Vancouver, and Burnaby, while gradually expanding north toward Squamish. Her work is deeply connected to community involvement, something that has become central to both her business and reputation.
In 2025, she was recognized as the GVR Realtor’s Care recipient, following her 2024 CREA Realtor’s Care Spotlight Award for her philanthropic work with the North Vancouver Cares Foundation. Her clients are often drawn to her because of that involvement and the clarity they feel in how she shows up for them.

What Sets Her Apart

Jacquie is known for being compassionate, capable, and efficient — qualities that shape the way she supports her clients throughout the process. Rather than focusing on volume, she prioritizes relationships, taking the time to truly understand the people she works with and help shepherd them through important decisions with confidence and care.

Beyond the Deal

Outside of real estate, Jacquie enjoys playing pickleball and was a longtime avid skier. She’s also excited about a regenerative farming and wellness project she’s building alongside her daughter in Squamish.

Westwoods Farm, located in the Sea to Sky corridor, reflects her passion for community, wellness, and creating something meaningful for the future.

A Home at Stilhavn

For Jacquie, choosing Stilhavn came down to values, support, and trust. She was looking for a Canadian brokerage that cared about people, community, and the bigger picture. Conversations with fellow agents reinforced that sense of alignment and ultimately made the decision clear.

Today, Jacquie continues to build her business within a collaborative environment that reflects both her professional standards and her community-driven approach to real estate.
