Kristen Dillon: Local Insight, Authenticity, and Life in Squamish

“Moving to Stilhavn was a breath of fresh air. The brokerage’s forward-thinking approach, modern strategy, and values-driven culture felt aligned with how I believe real estate should be done.” — Kristen Dillon

A Career Sparked by Authenticity

For Duncan Brown, real estate isn’t just a career — it’s a lifetime vocation. He entered the industry at 18 after leaving home in the UK, needing a job and quickly discovering a profession that would define his life. Since 1985, and since 1996 in Vancouver, Duncan has built a career rooted in experience, adaptability, and an enduring commitment to his craft. Kristen Dillon’s path into real estate began with a piece of candid advice she took to heart. Her uncle, a successful businessman, encouraged her to consider the profession—believing the industry needed more authentic voices, or as he put it, “less cheesy” ones. Kristen listened, and eight years later, that instinct has proven right.

Variety, Problem-Solving, and People

What Kristen loves most about being a REALTOR® is the people, but just as important is the constant variety the work brings. Each day presents a new mix of problem-solving, counselling, and navigating the unexpected, a dynamic she finds both challenging and energizing.

Squamish, Inside and Out

Kristen lives and breathes Squamish. She knows the nuances that don’t show up in listings, the dynamics of each neighbourhood, and the small details that can make all the difference. While Squamish may be a close-knit community, she loves every pocket of it and approaches each neighbourhood with thoughtful checks and balance sheets to ensure her clients land exactly where they belong.

What Sets Her Apart

Kristen’s strength lies in her deep local knowledge paired with genuine care. She’s passionate about helping people find not just a home, but the right spot, one that fits their lifestyle now and into the future. Colleagues and clients alike would describe Kristen as joyful, authentic, and detail-oriented, with a sharp sense of humour that keeps the process grounded and approachable. That balance of warmth and precision allows her to guide clients with confidence while making the experience both effective and enjoyable.

A Proven Builder

One of Kristen’s proudest accomplishments was being part of the team that helped launch the Squamish Stilhavn office in the middle of the pandemic. The experience, as she describes it, was equal parts laughs, details, chaos, and coffee—a challenge that required adaptability, teamwork, and a strong sense of humour. (A special shout-out goes to her “wingman,” Ian Tang.)

Beyond the Deal

Outside of real estate, Kristen’s competitive streak comes out in her newest obsession: winning at Hitster, the music trivia game. She also has a memorable and well-documented brush with fame. At age 12, she met Martin Sheen, an encounter that ended in public humiliation and an infamous framed photo that still hangs in her parents’ home.

A Home at Stilhavn

At Stilhavn, Kristen found a brokerage that matches her values and modern approach to real estate. Surrounded by forward-thinking professionals and a collaborative culture, she continues to grow her business while staying deeply connected to the Squamish community she knows so well. For Kristen, Stilhavn isn’t just where she works—it’s where her vision for real estate truly fits.
