For Brett Adamson, becoming a REALTOR® started with a rare and meaningful opportunity: the chance to take over his mother-in-law’s business. Through a planned four-year succession and full mentorship, Brett stepped into real estate with guidance, purpose, and a strong foundation of support. Family has always been at the centre of Brett’s journey, and that foundation continues to guide both his work and his values. Now twelve years into his residential real estate career, he looks back on that opportunity as one of those once-in-a-lifetime moments that truly shape a person’s path. It allowed him to build a career while also building a life—one rooted in commitment, balance, and purpose.

Most of Brett’s work is focused in Kelowna and West Kelowna, with an emphasis on detached homes. His deep understanding of the region’s diverse neighbourhoods — including areas on Westbank First Nation land — allows him to do more than find a house. He works to match clients with a lifestyle that fits who they are and how they want to live.

Beyond The Deal

Outside of real estate, Brett’s life is firmly centred around his family. A husband and father, he’s most proud of the life he’s built with his wife and children—18 years married, great kids, and a home they love in Kelowna. That sense of balance and commitment carries through everything he does. When time allows, Brett enjoys staying active and creative through a wide range of interests, including squash, knifemaking, motorbike riding, and helping bring people together by hosting community events. Originally from South Africa, he also brings a lifetime of stories shaped by his upbringing—from close encounters with wildlife to experiences that sound almost unbelievable, but are very real. He’s also a skilled metal artist, with the ability to weld aluminum and stainless steel.
